Adult Education
As Presbyterians, we believe that stewardship of the mind is an essential part of our call as Christ’s disciples. Christian formation is a life long process of learning that requires involvement in worship, education, mission and service in the church and the world. With this in mind the Adult Education committee planned a varied and challenging program for the year. Starting in the Fall on Sundays an adult class is offered from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Classes are offered usually as a series of three Sunday classes.
Classes are not offered on the first or fifth Sunday of the month. At the end of each three week series participants are invited to complete a brief evaluation to assist with future planning.
Youth and Children
Childcare for children four years and below is available in the Nursery during adult classes. Youth and gather in Room 1 and Sunday Choir in Room 3 in the Christian Education building. Children must be registered with adult leaders before parents attend classes and collected promptly at 12:30 p.m. when classes end.
Adult Education
The adult series of classes is called Living the Faith geared to specific interests the congregation identified in an education survey in 2007. Topics such as mission, prayer life, spiritual practices, issues of race and social justice and faith in the context of relationships and family are covered.
